A Very Old Bardi Shield circa 1900 , Dampier Peninsula, North Western Australia.

From the Bardi people of Western Australia, a concave wooden shield , featuring beautifully carved chevron designs on the front and linear design on the reverse, red and white pigments carved with kangaroo tooth or the claw of a possum.
