A Huge, beautifully decorated, Dance Club, "Napa" used in graduation rites. Ndende or Utupua Island, 19th century. L101cm. A single hand carved piece of wood featuring circular and geometric design, mating its original fibre though missing side lugs, ending a slightly carved "canoe-shaped" tip. A split on one side. Very Heavy.
